As many of you are aware, Verizon has been doing construction which has been causing issues with the Jackson Eiruv, at the East Veterans, Royal Grove, areas. The Vaad Eiruv has been repairing the Eiruv every week in time for Shabbos, but this past week it was not possible to be done in time. They hope to be able to have it ready for next Shabbos. Logistically and financially, it is not effective to be repairing an Eiruv every week that will be torn down a few days later. As of now, there is no known date as to when Verizon will be finished, and the work can last another 6 months. We would like to use this as an opportunity to construct a new Eiruv which will be more mehudar, cheaper to maintain, and will be larger, to include more families. We have begun a new campaign to raise the necessary funds and our goal is to have it up for next Shabbos! The Eiruv is being constructed under the guidance of Rabbi Simcha Stroli of Royal Grove, The Vorka Rebbe, and Rabbi Steinmetz of the Eiruv. You can take part in this campaign by clicking this link.
