Beginning next week, Lakewood Township will resume in-person public meetings which have been held virtually since the township building closed down at the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Zoning Board meetings which are usually held once monthly, and have been held virtually since the start of the pandemic, will return to in-person meetings at their next scheduled meeting on July 12. Planning Board meetings which are usually held twice each month will return to in-person meetings on July 20.
Masks will be required to be worn inside the building by anyone who is not yet vaccinated.
As of now, Township Committee meetings will continue to be held virtually. In-person meetings will likely return following Labor Day weekend.
The municipal court as well as a vast majority of township employees are still working remotely. A reopen date for the court and for employees to return to work in-person has not yet been finalized.
