PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS: New crosswalk on Cross Street

The Ocean County Roads Department recently installed this new crosswalk across Cross Street at Augusta Blvd.

In an effort to increase pedestrian safety, especially at night, they installed flashing blinkers on the “pedestrian crossing” sign. They also installed advance “pedestrian crosswalk ahead” signs. Additionally, the sign posts have Brite sticks which make them more visible at night and in inclement weather.
