LNN has learned of the petirah of Lakewood resident Harav Menashe Tzvi Winkler (102), a talmid chochom who was zoiche to see the Chofetz Chaim a mere few weeks before he was was niftar.
Rabbi Winkler was born in Copenhagen in the months that followed World War I. He carried a unique status as one of the few yeshivah students in Eastern Europe who hailed from the Nordic region.
The levaya will be held today 4:30 pm at the Lakewood Commons Shul.
