This summer’s theme at Lakewood’s Camp B’lev Echad (CBE), is “Operation S.T.U.F.F.” a similar theme to army day, but all summer long. Yesterday, the activity was “Salute Our Troops”. For this activity, the camp hired a band to play music while the campers marched from Patrick Park all the way back to Camp. The Camp is located at 873 Vine Street in the YTT building. Upon arriving back to camp the campers enjoyed a BBQ and a carnival, with lots of music and dancing, as it was the first day back to regular music.
Camp B’lev Echad is a boy’s day camp founded close to 15 years ago by R’ Shaya Leifer. R’ Leifer’s intention was to make a camp where all the boys are super involved and feel part of a big family. Although the camp has grown astronomically to over 600 boys, the camp still remains as one big family, a counselor tells LNN.
