Teaberry Court residents who have petitioned Ocean County to install a traffic signal at the intersection of West County Line Road and Teaberry Court will get their request fulfilled as early as this coming winter.
Ocean County has gone out to bid for a new traffic signal at that intersection.
The project includes some curb and sidewalk work, but no major road widening or lane configuration. However, the traffic signal will permit lead traffic for eastbound left-turning vehicles. During the day, this green arrow will activate for 10-13 seconds.
The bid opening date is October 5. The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is expected to award the contract for the construction later in October. If there is no utility work necessary, the construction will likely be done this winter.
