Open enrollment for 2022 health insurance begins Monday – free assistance is available

Oct 27, 2021 537 0 0

Open Enrollment for private health insurance for 2022 will be from November 1st, 2021 until January 31st, 2022. You must enroll in a plan by December 31st to begin coverage on January 1st. If you miss Open Enrollment, you will most likely not be able to get a private health insurance plan at any point during 2022 – even from a private broker.

To sign up for an appointment to get help from the LRRC with applying for a subsidized private health insurance plan through the new State-Based Exchange called Get Covered NJ, visit http://oe2022.lrrcenter.org, follow the instructions there, and an LRRC representative will contact you to schedule an appointment. If you need help determining the answer to any of the questions, schedule an appointment through the automated scheduling system by calling 732-523-1789. Follow the prompts to schedule an appointment to discuss open enrollment and private health insurance options.

To read more information about subsidized private health insurance plans and the new state-based Exchange called Get Covered New Jersey, you can read the LRRC brochure here.
