In a press conference held on Friday in Raritan, New Jersey, Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciatarelli conceded defeat to Democratic governor Phil Murphy a mere 10 days after election day.
“I called Governor Murphy earlier today and congratulated him on his re-election”, Ciatarelli said during the press conference. Ciatarelli also said that he plans to run for NJ Governor for 3rd time in 4 years.
Also during the press conference Ciattarelli addressed reports of election fraud saying “I see no proof that the election was stolen”.
Murphy currently leads Ciatarelli by approximately 75,000 votes with 95% reporting in what turned out to be a much tighter race then anticipated or projected by the polls.
A pollster from Monmouth University suggested that election polls should be terminated after he was dead wrong with his predictions.
