Plans are underway for a major Hachnosas Sefer Torah to be held this coming Monday, Zos Chanukah, in Lakewood, LNN has learned.
The event is being hosted by Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva Harav Malkiel Kotler Shlita who will be personally donating a Sefer Torah to BMG showing gratitude to Hashem for the Nissim he encountered this past year.
The entire Lakewood community, including Bochurim and Children are invited to join the Ma’amad Kevod Hatorah which will be joined by Admorim, Roshei Yeshiva and Balei Batim from the tri-state area.
Large preparations, security detail and road closures are being coordinated, as tens of thousands are expected to attend this historic event.
As reported on LNN, The Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva Harav Malkiel Kotler suffered from serious health conditions Pesach time of this past year. He was transported to the hospital and underwent serious surgeries and was unable to be home for Yom Tov.
