A general alarm was toned out for a structure fire shortly after 8:30 a.m. this morning in Lakewood.
The Lakewood fire department responded to the home at 544 Davids Court, off Route 70, and found the home fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm and power was cut to the building which is a row of several houses attached.
Mutual aid from Jackson and Toms River responded to the scene and dozens of firefighters were working to fight the blaze.
At least one firefighter has reportedly been transported to the hospital with burn injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Ocean County Fire Marshal.

UPDATE 9:50 AM: Two homes were left fully destroyed and several others damaged.
UPDATE 10:30 AM: Two firefighters have been treated in the hospital for minor burn injuries.
