The New Jersey Department Of Health is discontinuing ads that they released, promoting COVID vaccines for children targeted to the Orthodox Jewish Communities of New Jersey.
As seen below, the ads that were released show individuals who look like actors that are clearly not Orthodox Jews, dressing up like they are, with long curls, funny hats, and even a star of david necklace. These three components stem from total different sects of Judaism which make the ads laughable and awkward. It definitely does not portray the message that the state of New Jersey is trying to accomplish.
The ads went viral today on social media with captions like “A bit early for Purim”, “I am hilariously offended”, “Down hat and long peyos? Lol”, and “NJ could have actually, you know, hired a Jew”.
