Lakewood’s heart is warm. So warm that local first responders are taking a stand to help those thousands of miles away in Ukraine suffering from Russian aggression.
Members of the Ocean County Office of Emergency Management together with members of Lakewood Shomrim visited local stores on Sunday to gather essential items to send off to the victims of war in Ukraine.
Some of the stores visited were Evergreen and Aisle 9.
Boxes are being sent off to Ukraine with essential items that will be distributed to local residents suffering from the vicious war that broke out in their country.
