Dear LNN,
Sometimes when you get pulled over for speeding or a traffic violation, you can agree or disagree if the cop is doing his or her job and if they are helpful. But what I have experienced yesterday is definitely not the cops job.
I got stuck without fuel on a local street in Toms River and I had to walk to the gas station to get a bucket of gas. When I got there a officer waited for me as he received a call of a car being stuck in middle of the street. He asked me if that is my car, I replied yes. He waited for me until I got the gas and drove me back to my car. He then filled up my car and didn’t even let me do it. After all was done he made sure my car was fully functional as I needed a boost too. Until he saw me back on the road he was there for me.
I would like to extend my appreciation in public for this officer and would like to remind everyone that the police officers are out there every day risking their lives for our safety.
Next time you see an officer be sure to thank them sincerely for their heroic work.
