Although LNN does not usually report on drug busts and crime, the arrest of a Lakewood man this week noteworthy for the massive amount of drugs he was hoarding and dealing.
Police 21-year-old Davewon Crockam of Lakewood was arrested as a result of a multi-law enforcement agency investigation. Police raided his home, and found that he was storing a large cache of heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine. The stash was so large that he had some at a neighboring home. He was also running a distribution ring around Ocean County.
Police seized 2,750 wax folds of heroin/fentanyl, cocaine, a loaded .45 caliber handgun with a laser sight and a drum-style extended magazine, drug paraphernalia, and approximately $8,100 in United States currency.
Crockam remains in the Ocean County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
