Two people were taken into custody Wednesday after they were accused of making a bomb threat on a JetBlue flight arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reports that the threat came in around 10:14 a.m. regarding JetBlue Flight 2028 was traveling from Orlando to Newark with 100 passengers on board.
The plane landed and taxied to a remote part of the airport, where it was approached by emergency vehicles. The Essex County Bomb Squad searched the plane and found there were no explosives on board.
Two people were taken off the plane in handcuffs. They have not yet been charged.
