LNN has learned that First Commerce Bank will be opening an eleventh branch in Jackson this May. First Commerce is currently the only bank with headquarters in Lakewood.

LNN has learned as well that the collapse of Signature Bank, the third largest in U.S. history, has also brought over many clients from Signature and other banks as well.

Upon learning this, LNN reach out to First Commerce Bank's Vice President of Business Development, John Crissafuli, to confirm the information.

The bank released the following statement, "Due to the recent and abrupt failures of Signature Bank and Silicon Valley Bank, First Commerce Bank is helping the local community meet its financial needs by opening new deposit accounts and investing back into the local community. Over the past week, First Commerce Bank has been opening new accounts for customers who are seeking a more stable and secure financial institution. First Commerce prides itself in fostering relationships, building local communities, investing in small businesses, and delivering secure and value-added financial solutions to customers throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas. As one of the strongest capitalized commercial banks headquartered in the state of New Jersey, FCB is led by strong risk management practices as it continues to serve its customers and community, not only through this financial crisis but for years to come."
