Earlier this week, Senator Tim Scott, an ardent supporter of school choice, addressed the Agudah mission to Washington. Scott noted that he and Senator Bill Cassidy have authored the Educational Choice for Children Act, which will provide $10 billion for school choice by incentivizing private investment in education.

An estimated two million students in any elementary or secondary education setting, including homeschooling, are eligible to receive a scholarship. Eligible use of scholarship awards includes tuition, fees, book supplies, and equipment for enrollment or attendance at an elementary or secondary school.
Senator Scott also noted that having a strong mentor and family support helped him achieve the success he enjoys in life.

He later tweeted, “I am thankful for the work Agudath Israel is doing on behalf of families and kids. Thank you for continuing to support important legislation like my Educational Choice for Children Act.” He also noted that his strong support and mentorship led him to the success he found in life.
